A special 9 hole chipping course with night golf is open 7 days a week during season, and is just north of the Ticonderoga Country Club.  Named to represent the five nations of Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, and Seneca that placed a role in our nations history.  The March 13, 1758 "Battle of Snowshoes" (French & Indian Wars) took place on these grounds.  The Indian lead patrol hid out on the property and engaged the British with the French.  They defeated the British in the vicinity of the 4th and 8th greens!  This battle gave rise to the tale of Roger's Rock, as it was said that Rogers (British Ranger) escaped capture by sliding down 400' down the rock face to the frozen surface of Lake George.  This rock is now known as "Roger's Rock."  Just a little tidbits.  However, special events and group activities planed through the season.
